Tempesta di Mare on the Radio

Tune in to WHYY-91FM's Showcase on Sunday, August 21 at 8:00 pm for a two-hour broadcast of Tempesta di Mare's recent production of Handel's Clori, Tirsi & Fileno. This two-act comedy on the nature of love, rivalry and true friendship was Tempesta di Mare's first staged opera, sung in English with Margaret Bragle as Clori, Marguerite Krull as Tirsi, and Drew Minter as Fileno. The Philadelphia CityPaper wrote of this production, "The musicians of Tempesta di Mare brought the nearly 300-year-old score to life with a zest and virtuosity that transcended issues of style and instrumentation. At the close of this performance, there was that sublime sensation of the suspension of time that great theater can convey” Click here to read the whole review.

Showcase airs in the Greater Philadelphia area on 90.9 FM, and simulcasts live on the internet. Find the WHYY internet audio stream here.

Tempesta di Mare's production of Cori, Tirsi & Fileno was made possible in part with support from the Lincoln Financial Group Foundation.
