Join us for an evening of Music & Food on the river in Bartram’s Garden in support of Tempesta’s Zimmerman Artistic Opportunity Fund

Saturday, June 3, 2017 | 5PM

Bartram’s Garden, 5400 Lindbergh Blvd

During the summer months, Leipzig coffee house proprietor Gottfried Zimmerman hosted informal concerts led by Bach and Telemann in his gardens just outside the city walls, attracting musicians and music lovers from far and wide for these evenings of music and refreshments among the flowers.

Our Summer Concert and Soirée celebrates this tradition with a concert and dinner at Bartram’s Garden, America’s oldest living botanical garden and a National Historic Landmark, and benefits the legacy of long-time Tempesta board member and visionary Robert Zimmerman through the Zimmerman Artistic Opportunity Fund*.  Learn the fascinating back story behind the Fund’s maiden project, a recording of Janitsch rediscoveries for release on Chandos Records in November, stroll the gardens and historic house, and enjoy dinner and wine by Moore Brothers in the garden's new Pavillion.

* ZIMMERMAN ARTISTIC OPPORTUNITY FUND: In 2015, Tempesta launched the Zimmerman Artistic Opportunity Fund in support of strategically important artistic endeavors, such as our annual CD recordings, the research and discovery of forgotten masterpieces, or exceptional performance opportunities. You can support this effort with a donation in any amount. Use the button below, or call 215-755-8776. Thanks!
