Gwyn Roberts shares discoveries from the astonishing world of baroque Venice’s virtuosic and famous female musicians, Using photos, maps, images and musical examples, she will take us on a journey to 17th- and 18th century Venice and tell the stories from the lives of individual women living and making music at the Ospedali grande, Venice’s network of charitable institutions.
Join us for this introduction to the women behind the music featured in this season’s Hidden Virtuosas programs, presented in November and March.
