Gala dinner & Concert

in support of Tempesta di Mare and celebrating Carol H. Roberts, our first and most stalwart supporter

Saturday, April 27, 2024

Join us in celebration of Carol H. Roberts with a toast by Tempesta’s Artistic co-Directors and Founders Gwyn Roberts and Richard Stone, followed by a delicious dinner at a pioneer of the farm-to-table movement, the award-winning White Dog Cafe.

After dinner, we will head over to the stunning Episcopal Cathedral (4 blocks away – shuttle available upon requets) to enjoy a concert of music by Bach, Handel & Telemann performed by Tempesta di Mare. During intermission, we are joined by the soloists of the evening for a dessert reception.

I suspect music is auditory cheesecake—an exquisite confection crafted to tickle the sensitive spots of our mental faculties

Steven Pinker

Carol loved music. And she loved Tempesta. Even when the ensemble was just an aspiration, dreamed up by her daughter Gwyn and husband, Richard Stone, she was the group’s most ardent and generous supporter. She attended every program, ushered at concerts, and cheered us on.

Her commitment and joy in bringing baroque music into the lives of so many is an inspiration. We couldn’t be more delighted to celebrate her legacy.
