Playing with the next generation of Musicians
Tempesta’s Pipeline Project seeks to excite the next generation of musicians about baroque music. Looking beyond the musical notation on the page, we introduce young musicians to the unique language of this interactive and expressive music.
Working together with youth orchestras in Philadelphia and beyond, we teach, rehearse, play and perform with high-school and middle-school musicians. And we invite musicians and their families to Tempesta di Mare rehearsals and performances.
Our partners have included Philadelphia’s Musicopia String Orchestra, the Music History Club at Wilmington’s Cab Calloway School for the Arts, and Philadelphia Sinfonia, with whom we are in residence for the 2021-2022 season.
